Union Carpenter

A Union carpenter is one of the best and well-trained carpenters in the world. They are known for their excellent performance and quality of work. They are also known for their great benefits and pay.

My basic carpentry career started in 1999. Getting into the union was one of the best moves I ever made in my life. I love what I do, I love carpentry. Picking a job that you love or don’t mind doing makes life so much easier on you cause the majority of the time we spend in life is at our jobs or just plain working so why not enjoy it.

Union members are faithful to the union. When nonunion carpenters start working on big jobs such as hospitals, stores, and malls union members show up in numbers with picket signs, also a balloon that is a big fat rat they vary in sizes. We do this just to send a message that this contractor does not hire or support union carpenters.

A carpentry job has its cons though it gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter (at least in New Jersey anyway). Some heavy lifting is required and carpenters have to some times work in dirt, mud, rain, The way I look at it is hey whatever it takes to get the job done.
